Guidelines For Getting Your Website
Listed In The PeaKaBoo™ Database

*All submissions are closely examined by a PeaKaBoo editor. After this we send our "spider" (computer robot) to collect and evaluate the site for basic relevance and then it is added to our database. Unacceptable submissions are deleted. The decisions of our staff and editors are final. Improved sites may later be resubmitted.

Some visitors will consider these submission guidelines very narrow. Perhaps they are. The nature of much content on the web today obliges us to be as clear as possible about what will be allowed in our database and what is not acceptable. Issues of ethics and morality are important to us. We want to "Help ever and hurt never."

The Biggest Search Engine. Just The Best.

Specific Guidelines
This is not an easy set of guidelines,
but they are very strictly enforced.

PeaKaBoo.Net™ is "family friendly" and rejects sites containing or promoting content (images, text, ideas, activities) that is not suitable for family audiences.

PeaKaBoo does not accept FREE web sites for inclusion. This means that you must have your own registered domain name to be considered for inclusion to our database.

Web pages must be in English or have a easy to access version in English.

PeaKaBoo is "ethics aware" and welcomes websites that operate according to high ethical and moral standards. Web pages composed of hype and exaggerated claims are not accepted into the database.

Where sites use forms for collecting confidential information (credit card numbers, social security, etc.) such forms must be SECURE. Secure pages show "https://" in the URL. The "s" means secure. If such security is not available there must be a clearly visible warning explaining that the information is not being securly transmitted. Users should be given alternate means of sending the required information such as postal mail, phone or fax.

Sites supporting or promoting violence or hatred are not accepted.

Submissions should contain meaningful content related to products or services being promoted and sold by the web site. Sites that consist mostly of affiliate links and banners are not accepted. A site that is a single affiliate, promoting just one enterprise is acceptable.

Sites featuring, supporting or promoting the use of unsolicited commercial Email (SPAM) are not accepted.

Sites supporting or promoting racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, and religious discrimination or intolerance are not accepted.

Web sites that we can recognize as engaging in, supporting, or promoting illegal activities are not accepted in our database. Any that slip through our filters will be removed upon recognition.

Web sites are responsible ONLY for the content of their own pages and those of DIRECT links to other sites. Sites with direct links to objectional material are not accepted.

Excessive repetition of keywords in the HTML code or visible page suggests that a site is seeking unfair advantage in the search engine database. This is not acceptable. Use of same or near-same colors of text and background is not acceptable. Attempts to gain unfair advantage in search engine listings is unethical and is not accepted.

All submissions must make use of basic Meta tags in the source code. Basic tags are Title, Description and Keywords tags. The tags must reflect the actual content of the web site.

Submissions that require plug-ins to be downloaded in order to view the web page are not accepted in the PeaKaBoo.Net database.

Web pages linked to PeaKaBoo must not "trap" the PeakAboo home page within framed pages. An acceptable alternative is to use target="_blank" instead of frames.

The PeaKaBoo banner logos must not be resized; it makes them ugly and difficult to read.
